# Alloy

> Store your Alloy API token and secret in Rulebase so a Rulebase workflow can be pointed at your Alloy account.

Connect Alloy to Rulebase so Rulebase workflows can be configured against your Alloy account.

## Prerequisites

* You must have an Alloy API token and API secret.
* You must have the Administrator role in Rulebase.

## Installation

### Step 1: connect Alloy

1. Log in to your [Rulebase dashboard](https://app.rulebase.co)
2. Go to **Settings** > **Integrations**
3. Find **Alloy** in the list and click **Add**
4. Enter your Alloy API token
5. Enter your Alloy API secret
6. Click **Add**

## What connecting does

Connecting stores the token and secret, encrypted, and makes Alloy available to select as a tool when configuring a Rulebase agent workflow. Nothing is imported from Alloy on its own, and Alloy records do not appear anywhere in Rulebase until a workflow is built to read them.

Which Alloy data a workflow reads, and what it does with it, is set up with your Rulebase account team. Talk to them before rotating the credentials, since any workflow using this connection will stop working until it has the new values.
