# ComplyAdvantage

> Connect ComplyAdvantage to Rulebase with an API key and account region.

Connect ComplyAdvantage to Rulebase with an API key and the region where your account is hosted.

## Prerequisites

* You need a ComplyAdvantage API key.
* You need to know the region where your ComplyAdvantage account is hosted.
* You need the Administrator role or permission to manage integrations in Rulebase.

## Choose the correct account region

Rulebase uses your region to select the corresponding ComplyAdvantage API:

| Region | API base URL |
| - | - |
| Europe | `https://api.complyadvantage.com` |
| United States | `https://api.us.complyadvantage.com` |
| Asia Pacific | `https://api.ap.complyadvantage.com` |

Ask your ComplyAdvantage account administrator if you do not know which region to select.

## Connect ComplyAdvantage in Rulebase

1. Log in to your [Rulebase dashboard](https://app.rulebase.co).
2. Go to **Settings** > **Connections**.
3. Find **ComplyAdvantage** under **Risk and compliance**.
4. Click **Add connection**.
5. Select your account **Region**. New connections default to **Europe**.
6. Enter the **API key**.
7. Click **Connect**.

Rulebase encrypts the API key before storing it. The selected region is stored with the connection so Rulebase uses the correct API endpoint.

## Update your connection

To rotate the API key or change regions, submit the new configuration from **Settings** > **Connections**. Rulebase replaces the stored ComplyAdvantage connection for your organization.
