# Looker Studio

> Store Looker API credentials and your Looker instance URL in Rulebase so a Rulebase workflow can be pointed at your reporting.

Connect Looker Studio to Rulebase so Rulebase workflows can be configured against your reporting environment.

## Prerequisites

* You must have API credentials from Looker: a client ID and client secret.
* You must know the URL of your Looker instance.
* You must have the Administrator role in Rulebase.

## Installation

### Step 1: connect Looker Studio

1. Log in to your [Rulebase dashboard](https://app.rulebase.co)
2. Go to **Settings** > **Integrations**
3. Find **Looker Studio** in the list and click **Add**
4. Enter the client ID and client secret
5. Enter the URL of your Looker instance, for example `https://example.lookerstudio.com`
6. Click **Add**

Enter the instance URL, not a link to a report or dashboard. Rulebase needs an address it can reach the Looker API on, and a shared report link will not work.

## What connecting does

Connecting stores the credentials and the URL, and makes Looker Studio available to select as a tool when configuring a Rulebase agent workflow. Nothing is imported into Rulebase on a schedule, and no reports or dashboards appear in the Rulebase interface. Set up which queries a workflow runs with your Rulebase account team.
