Rulebase integrates with Salesforce via OAuth2 to enrich customers and companies using Salesforce Contact and Account data.

Prerequisites

  • You must have permission in Salesforce to authorize third-party apps.
  • You must have the Administrator role in Rulebase.

Installation

Step 1: Connect Salesforce

  1. Log in to your Rulebase dashboard
  2. Go to Integrations > Salesforce
  3. Click Add and sign in with your Salesforce credentials
  4. Authorize Rulebase to access your Salesforce account

Zendesk bridge

If Zendesk is also connected, Rulebase can automatically link Salesforce records to Rulebase customers and companies. To enable this, set the external_id field on your Zendesk users and organizations to the corresponding Salesforce Contact ID or Account ID. Once set, Rulebase will detect the link and sync enrichment data automatically.

Next steps

Once connected, Rulebase will begin syncing Contact and Account data automatically.
  • Customer records will be enriched with name, email, and phone from Salesforce Contacts
  • Company records will be enriched with name and account manager from Salesforce Accounts
  • If you also use Zendesk, confirm your external_id values are set to valid Salesforce IDs to enable automatic linking
